What is a podiatrist?
A podiatrist or Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) or podiatric physician or surgeon. Podiatrists are qualified through training and education to diagnose and treat conditions affecting the foot and ankle. Podiatrists are uniquely qualified amongst medical professionals for specialized care dedicated solely to the structures of the foot and ankle and diseases that can affect these lower extremities.
What are the qualifications of a podiatrist?
Podiatrists are defined as physicians by the federal government and in most states. DPMs receive medical education and training comparable to Medical Doctors, including four years of undergraduate education, four years of graduate education at one of eight accredited podiatric medical colleges, and post graduate training. Practitioners can elect to specialize in multiple areas or to focus on a singular specialty, including surgery, sports medicine, geriatrics, pediatrics, orthopedics, or primary care.
Why should I see a podiatrist?

Costs vary and depend on your individual diagnosis and treatment plan. Our services are affordable and competitively priced.
What insurances do you accept?
We accept most major insurances and are a member of the Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO Network. Additionally, we are a non-participating provider for Medicare.
How long will my visit take?
A regular visit averages one hour, however, this can vary depending on your needs. Most patients return within two months for a follow-up appointment.
